Men can get competitive about anything – growing moustaches, eating hundreds of hot dogs, even dad dancing. Now, thanks to one of the internet’s biggest pornography websites, we can ‘gamify’ one of the most intimate experiences: sex. [13] In seemingly bizarre news out of the porn industry, PornHub is launching a new fitness system (wearable + workout videos) called BangFit. They claim that this new gadget is “the fitness method gyms don’t want you to know about.”As its name suggests, it helps you bang to get fit. Here’s how it works: Users can join the game at this website, which will allow users to then sync the game to their phones. BangFit offers options for one player, two players, and three players. From there, you can choose your ‘sexercise’, with information about how each position burns calories (man vs. woman) over a thirty-minute period. That’s where the BangFit Band comes into play. [1] BangFit displays (on tablets, desktops, or laptops) a sex-based workout regimen with avatars for players to mimic. You strap your smartphone to your midsection using an adjustable band, and the app records your movements using the phone’s motion sensors. You watch the cartoon images of people having sex and mimic their positions. Players can do it solo or with a partner or two, and choose the sex of each animated character. There are basic positions, as well as more acrobatic and athletic positions such as “Squat and Thrust” and “Missionary Press.” [16] Once their session has “cum” to an end, players will receive a notification to their phone, telling them how many calories they’ve burned. As Pornhub’s advert says: “You won’t be pumping iron, but you’ll be pumping none the less.” [19] Yes, you too can be as “fit as f***,” Pornhub says, and transform your bedroom into a gym. You can win accolades such as “you’re the gymnastiest,” and you can share these awards on social media. [16]
For now, PornHub says the BangFit Band is going to be available soon, and that the software product is in beta. That said, this is an interesting marketing stunt for PornHub. The company has an early foothold in VR, and is wont to pull fun tech-related marketing stunts like an emoji porn texting service. In an email to Mashable, the porn website explained what they were going for when they created the sexy fitness program — which users can follow simply by using a smartphone app while they get it on (below):

Sex actually does burn calories—one study found that men burn an average of 100 calories per session, and women 69 calories. And because sex is so versatile, you can easily target different muscles. We can only imagine if you approach it with the gusto exemplified in this video, you will be a raging endorphin beast in a matter of days. [11] Unfortunately, right now BangFit is only for heterosexual participants. But knowing Pornhub, we can probably expect to see an updated and inclusive 2.0 version released any day now. Pornhub’s vice president Corey Price added more about the company’s decision to create BangFit:
