The term “trans” isn’t just for humans anymore — one trans woman is undergoing some extreme body modification to transition out of the entire species. [13] A transgender former banker claims to be the first and only person to have both ears cosmetically removed as part of her ongoing quest to become a ‘dragon’. Born Richard Hernandez in Maricopa County, Arizona, the 55-year-old has undergone a number of painful procedures over the past few years including nose modification, tooth extraction and eye colouring. She also has a forked tongue and a full-face tattoo as part of her transformation into a ‘mythical beast’. According to The Daily Mail, Now going by the full name Eva Tiamat Baphomet Medusa – or Tiamat for short, the name of a dragon video game character – she has taken on several personas over the years and undergone multiple stages of transformations before finally settling on becoming a dragon. [1] She has also had horns implanted onto her forehead, and tattoos and scarification on her face and chest that resemble reptilian scales. The whites of Tiamat’s eyes are stained green, giving her what she calls her ‘Medusa green eyes of death’. She now likes to be known as the Dragon Lady and describes herself as a mythical beast.
On her website, Tiamat explains: ‘I am the Dragon Lady, A pre-op M2F (male to female) transgender in the process of morphing into a human dragon, becoming a reptoid as I shed my human skin and my physical appearance and my life as a whole leaving my humanness behind. She adds that she wants to embrace her ‘most natural self awareness as a mythical beast.’ Tiamat has a large Facebook following, has given interviews on YouTube to outlets specialising in body modification and regularly posts inspirational quotes. On a recent photo of herself, she wrote: ‘I don’t care what people say about me or my views, and if I have to I will defy and stand alone against the world, but never will I make any compromise to my integrity.’ On another, she wrote: ‘I am what I am. I am my own special creation.’ Despite not having undergone gender reassignment surgery, she says she is dealing with some ‘serious gender dysphoria’ and ‘loves’ her 36B chest. She recently shared a series of ‘before and after’ transformation photographs spanning from 1990 to 2016, showing her taking on a number of different identities – starting as a man called Richard Fernandez with dark hair and a moustache, and gradually taking on more surgery and inking. [1] On her website she writes: “I am the Dragon Lady, a pre-op M2F (male to female) transgender in the process of morphing into a human dragon, becoming a reptoid as I shed my human skin and my physical appearance and my life as a whole leaving my humanness behind.” “Body modification has given me a new life, a second chance to live my life,” she told News.com.au. “I am happy and at long last at peace with my complete self, how I see and feel myself.” [3] [15] He recently commented on Facebook that he had to remove his beard even though it was a part of his previous look, because of the “adverse effect” it had on his “psyche” when he saw a non-woman in the mirror. “Growing my beard, while I liked it, had an adverse effect on my psyche, to the point it took me to a bad place, because when I looked in the mirror all I saw was NoMan Pan, and that was too overwhelming to the women in me that is begging to live and to have her own life,” he wrote while his Facebook followers cheered him on. [11] Once a Vice President, Client Manager at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank’s Corporate Banking Division, in Houston Texas, Eva is now a semi-retired artist and founder of the global organisation MOD World, where it spends its time raising awareness around body modification and transgender issues. Don’t kid yourself. There will be more surgical horrors to come. Despite the media characteristically egging on his morbid delusions by referring to him with feminine pronouns, Richard has not yet undergone “gender reassignment surgery.” Calling himself a “pre-op M2F” indicates that he plans to. A society that encourages mental illness is opening the gates of hell, and may have some trouble getting them closed again. [12]
