When people says that Barack Hussein Obama is incompetent and that he doesn’t know what he’s doing; they just don’t understand the nature of the beast and they don’t understand the evil agenda that stands behind it. Barack Hussein Obama belongs to a radical branch of the progressive left and, make no mistake about it, he is the puppet of billionaire financier George Soros. He played his cards it just as he was told during his first term. He even upheld traditional marriage back then, but do you see that was the plan? He couldn’t show his cards. He was on his first term, and had much to accomplish during his second. [1] Do you remember that Romney was about 9 points ahead two weeks before the election? Obviously, it was rigged. The Democrats have no morals nor do they have any kind ethics whatsoever. None! They will shamelessly do whatever it takes to get the dirty job done. Saul Alinsky mapped it all out for them in his book “Rules for Radicals.” Obama is an evil man. Everything he does is calculated. Everything he does is told to him to do. He had to destroy the definition of traditional marriage. Gay marriage is now legal in most states. Mission accomplished. But he is not through destroying the fabric of America. He is a Communist/Socialist radical without a conscience. His latest strike against our country, actually hits our children directly. [1]
If you’ve ever doubted the notion that the government can be a bully, this story should change your mind. [6] As reported by WND, the largest school district in Virginia is expanding its non-discrimination policy to include gender identity over the loud objections of parents, and the Obama administration intends to impose the change on every public school district in the country. [5] On Thursday, the Fairfax County School Board voted overwhelmingly to expand it’s non-discrimination policy to accommodate transgender teachers and students. Parents late to arrive to the contentious school board meeting of the Fairfax County Public School system (FCPS) were forced to wait outside Luther Jackson Middle School as the decision was made, while the school board threatened to throw hundreds of parents out after they loudly expressed their objection to the policy change. [11] Police were summoned to control a standing-room-only crowd as board members approved the controversial measure. [7] The vote came after the second of two boisterous hearings, at which parents overwhelmingly opposed the change. The decision to add “gender identity” to the nondiscrimination policy passed in a 10-1 vote. The amended policy would apply to students as young as preschool and allow teachers to stay in the classroom if they declare themselves to be a different gender and conduct themselves accordingly. [1] [6] School Board Chair Tamara Derenak Kaufax issued a statement calling the measure a way to “provide an environment which promotes equality where every student and employee is treated with dignity and respect.” “The School Board has taken this proactive step to protect our students and staff from discrimination,” she wrote. [7]
Many parents are concerned about privacy for their kids if transgender adults and students are granted access to restrooms and locker rooms opposite of their biological gender. For weeks, board members touted the change as minor change and one that would ensure all people are treated fairly. Shortly after the vote, that story changed. “The school board should be making decisions to improve math, reading, writing, science and U.S. history. Not making decisions on political, social engineering,” one parent told the board to applause from the other parents. [11] If you’re wondering why a school board would directly oppose the parents of the children who attend their schools, the answer lies in the federal government and its desire for control. [6] In a statement released after the meeting, school board chairwoman Tamara Derenak Koufax released a statement which said the federal government left the board no choice. [1]
Elizabeth Schultz
“The U.S. Department of Education has told school districts that transgender students are protected from discrimination under Title IX and has recently required some school districts including Alexandria, Va., to amend their policies to expressly include gender identity,” said Koufax in the statement. Elizabeth Schultz was the only board member to oppose the policy change. But she says Koufax is right about the federal intrusion. “They’ve threatened that if we do not they will pull our federal education funds, free and reduced meal money for impoverished students,” said Schultz to the Washington Examiner. [11] As a result, this debate may soon be playing out in every public school district in America. “What happened in Fairfax is not just about Fairfax.”
“The Office of Civil Rights of the U.S. Department of Education is requiring that school divisions revise their non-discrimination policies to include gender identity,” Deputy Superintendent Steven Lockard wrote in a memorandum to school board members. He also said the federal government was requiring the district to hire a consultant to advise them on how school divisions should handle individual cases of transgender students. “If FCPS refuses to amend its policy, OCR has the right to recommend the termination of federal funding to FCPS.” Lockard wrote. [7]
Andrea Lafferty
It is now a national issue,” said Traditional Values Coalition President Andrea Lafferty, whose children were enrolled in Fairfax schools for many years. “President Obama and his Justice Department and his Department of Education are going to start telling school districts, ‘If you do not add gender identity, we are going to take away all your federal funding,” said Lafferty. [1] [5] But Lafferty says the school board never brought up the federal mandate until after the vote and its reasons for considering the policy until this revelation was all over the place. “There’s been excuse after excuse. That excuse didn’t come out until they knew thousands and thousands of parents were sending them emails and calling them,” said Lafferty. “At the meeting two weeks ago, one of the board members specifically said, ‘Our policy suffices. We don’t have a problem. We don’t need to do this. But OK, we’ll do it.’” She says the shifting explanations didn’t end there. “As the days went by and more people expressed outrage, the story changed again. The sponsor said, ‘Let’s pass it and then the staff can tell us what’s in it, just like with Obamacare,” said Lafferty. As maddening as the changing rationale is for Lafferty, she says the board’s treatment of concerned parents was even more outrageous. At each of the two meetings devoted to the subject, 10 people were allowed to speak for three minutes apiece. “The parents that were in the building and the parents that were locked out were overwhelmingly opposed to this. Anybody that watched it live or watched it online, could see the arrogance of the school board speaking down to these parents. Parents are upset. They want to be involved in the process and they weren’t,” said Lafferty. “This is a beating into submission of the American people and the taxpayers by the Obama Administration and those willfully going along with it,” said Lafferty. “They are going to say if you don’t comply, we’re going to take away your lunch money – your federal funding.” [7] In Fairfax County, that amounts to a lot of lunch money. The Washington Post reports the district receives $42 million from the federal government – about 1.7 percent of its budget. [7] This is typical of the left’s bullying on these controversial issues – the public and parents are often shut out of the debate because this radical agenda would never pass by popular vote. This is the worst form of strong-arm tactic but, sadly, we’ve come to expect such behavior from the Obama administration. [6]
Dr. Karen Garza
Lafferty approached Fairfax County Superintendent Dr. Karen Garza to complain about a process that stiff-armed parents away from the decision-making process. Garza disagreed. “She vehemently disagreed with me. The superintendent and all the school board except for one or two people think parents’ voices have been heard and it’s completely untrue,” said Lafferty, who says the district studied and evaluated whether to change the start of the school day for many years but limited this issue to just one hour of public input. [1] For now, she insists this fight is not over in Fairfax. “It’s never final. These people were voted in. They are not lifetime judges and they can be voted out in November. There is a possibility of legal action. There’s a lot of things that we’re looking at right now,” said Lafferty, who says every parent concerned about this issue needs to get ready for a fight in their town. “This is coming to your neighborhood, whether you’re in Keokuk, Iowa, Tupelo, Mississippi, or wherever. You need to make sure your school board pushes back,” said Lafferty.” [5]
And while bathrooms and locker rooms prove to be a concern – some parents also fear they will not be able to remove their children from classes led by transgender teachers. “Children in lower grades are still developing who they are – it’s very confusing,” Lafferty said. “Parents should have a right to decide when and where and how to talk about it.” [7] Parents are also taking issue with the district’s stealth handling of the policy change. “They tried to sneak it through,” Lafferty told me. “They are trying to go around parents. It’s a political agenda.” Elizabeth Schultz (the only board member who disagreed with the program), too, was alarmed by the lack of parental notification.“There was no public hearing,” she said. “There were zero opportunities for moms and dads.” [7] Martin Baker, the pastor of Burke Community Church, warned that “the damage and destruction to our children, teens and impacted adults will be incalculable.” “Everything from locker rooms to bathrooms will be potentially open for people who simply feel that their inner sexuality does not match their outer, physical sexuality,” he wrote in an email to the 3,000-member congregation. “This is not just shocking, it is morally and spiritually abhorrent, and that is why I am convinced this is one cultural issue where we, as a church, must speak up and out with clarity, compassion and conviction,” he added.
