Morgan Johansson

The Swedish Minister for Justice and Migration wants to bring home the feminist gold medal.  Sweden is the land of extremes. When the Swedish government gets an idea that just won’t go away because it’s so brilliant, the results often end up on the extreme end of the scale. This goes for most things. Take multiculturalism for example. We take in more non-white treasure seekers refugees and asylum seekers than most of Europe combined. Why? Because we’re Sweden and we thought multiculturalism was a really great idea, so naturally, we ended up at the extreme end of the scale.  While we have no intention of giving up being number one in human trafficking, draining the third world of rocket scientists, doctors and the occasional gypsy we have, as of late, set our mind to end up at the extreme end of feminism as well. The Swedish Minister for Justice and Migration, Morgan Johansson, decided that he would be the one to bring home the golden, unshaven and foul-mouthed medal of feminism to Sweden. His latest proposal is a law which would require that all companies have at least 40% women in their board of directors.  If we ignore that it’s an incredibly stupid idea which goes completely against nature for a moment (I know it’s hard but try at least), how could you achieve this with best possible outcome? Making it more attractive for women to study business and encourage it perhaps? Special training for female employees could also be a way. So which way does Morgan Johansson choose? The Affirmative Action way.  As you may have guessed, many businesses in Sweden hear the joyful sound of shekels fading away in the distance and surely, many will try to circumvent this law. Morgan Johansson has thought of THAT however, don’t you worry. Regarding companies that refuses to follow this law, he states: “One could threaten to dissolve the company, or fine it severely in relation to its size.”  The country famed for its word “Lagom” meaning “just enough”, has never seemed so alien…
