Women Accused Of Engaging In Illicit Acts With Family Dogs

Brittany Angelique Sonnier, a 20-year-old Arizona woman has been jailed after she allegedly confessed to having sex with her family’s dogs. [1] According to Lake Havasu City Police, an investigation was launched last month after Sonnier told her boyfriend that she was “into having sex with dogs.” [1] The ex-boyfriend said that at first, Sonnier “seemed like a nice, sweet and innocent girl,” and that he enjoyed spending time with her and her baby daughter. But their relationship soured over the summer and their sex life deteriorated to the point where she told him they needed to have a talk. [6]  According to the police report, “They sat down and Brittany used his phone to look some things up. He expected Brittany to ask if they could have a threesome or if he wanted to be a swinging couple. He would have been fine with either of those things — he is very open.” [6] But the man was shocked by what Sonnier showed him. According to the police report, “Instead, Brittany started to show him pictures of people having sex with animals. She told him that she was interested and into having sex with dogs. [6] [1] Then Sonnier showed her boyfriend pictures of herself engaged in inappropriate behavior with the dog. [13] The arrest report further alleges that Sonnier engaged in both vaginal and oral sex with the dogs and “has them trained so that they don’t act strange around other people.” [1] “We received a report … alleging bestiality on the part of Brittany Sonnier. Our investigations bureau investigated the allegations and [then] forwarded a criminal complaint to the county attorney’s office,”  police Sgt. Joe Harrold told The Huffington Post. [2] The boyfriend told police that he was “disturbed and freaked out” after Sonnier showed him images of people having sex with dogs. Sonnier also allegedly told him that she was interested in incest. [1] She said she had been intimate with the animals since she was 13-years-old. [3] Following the alleged confession, the boyfriend first tried to talk to Sonnier’s father about what his girlfriend shared with him.  The father reportedly told him that his daughter had admitted to having sex with dogs in the past, and that he was focused on trying to gain custody of his grandson (Sonnier has a toddler son). Sonnier’s boyfriend ended their relationship after these revelations. [3] The boyfriend also told police that he believes Sonnier is pregnant with his child, but she has refused to take a pregnancy test.  [1] He also told them that he believes she is an unfit mother. [6] Following an investigation into the allegations, Sonnier was originally charged with bestiality.  She was later charged instead with two counts of “crime against nature.” [1] [2]

Sonnier had moved from Lake Havasu City, Ariz., after her November 2012 charge for crimes against nature, which came after original charges of bestiality, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reported. [15] Those charges were ultimately dismissed. In the last weekend of March, she allegedly had sex with a 15-year-old in Holly Hill while he was visiting his father, police said. The dad later found lewd Facebook messages between the two. [3] Sonnier had sex with the 15-year-old boy the weekend of March 28 and 29, her arrest report shows. [3] The teen had come to spend the weekend with his father, police said. The boy’s father found out about Sonnier having sex, smoking marijuana and drinking beer with the boy, after his ex-wife emailed him about it, according to an arrest report. The teen’s Facebook messages indicated he spoke with Sonnier about drinking beer, reports state.[15] Police said Brittany Sonnier enticed the teen to perform sexual acts knowing that he was underage. [7] Sonnier’s dog-loving history was apparently well-known to her alleged teen victim. From WKMG:

According to a Volusia County arrest report, the teen, who stayed next door to Sonnier with his father on weekends, was informed of Sonnier’s past arrest of bestiality. The teen admitted to having intercourse with Sonnier for two nights and said he was concerned about contracting a venereal disease, the report said. [5] [7]

For her latest brush with the law, Sonnier was charged with felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery sex act with a person less than 16 years of age and contributing to delinquency of a minor. [5] [11] She was being held Monday at the Volusia County Branch Jail on $15,000 bail, records show.  [15]
