Angel Luis Pereira aka “Giggles”

When police in Manheim Township, PA raided the home of a local rapper, they found a lot more than they bargained for. [1] Officers seized drugs, guns and cash from the home of Angel Luis Pereira aka “c” and “GI, the General.” His girlfriend, 31-year-old April Medina, and a child were also living at the home. In either 2006 or 2007, Pereira moved from Lancaster City to his Manheim home. [2] According to FOX, Pereira, 36, was suspected to be an upper level cocaine dealer since 2004. [2] [3] Under the moniker “GI, the General,” Pereira made many music videos glorifying drug dealing and gun violence. In one music video, entitled This & That, Pereira is shown smoking what appears to be a cannabis cigarette while talking about making money from dealing cocaine. [3] [4]

Other paraphernalia such as pots, utensils and ingredients were also out in plain sight.  Officers also seized two semi-automatic handguns and a bullet proof vest. Pereira is forbidden to possess firearms due to a 2006 drug felony conviction. Three vehicles valued at around $100,000 and $2,000 in cash were also seized. [3] Pereira and Medina have been charged with Intent to Deliver-Cocaine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Pereira will also be charged with Persons not to Possess a Firearm. According to the Daily Mail, Pereira was committed to Lancaster County Prison on $40,000 bail and Media was released after her $50,000 bond was posted. [3] [4] A news release from the DA’s drug task forces says the suspect’s videos, including “100 Rounds” and “Hood Life,” deal with the kinds of behavior with which he’s now charged. [5]
