The bodies of thousands of aborted and miscarried babies were incinerated as clinical waste, with some even used to heat hospitals, an investigation has found. The TV news program Dispatches on Channel 4 in the U.K. reports that 10 National Health Service (NHS) hospital trusts have admitted burning the remains as “clinical waste” alongside trash, while two other facilities disposed of the remains in incinerators that generate power for heating, multiple British news organizations including the BBC and the Telegraph reported. [5] [19] On March 23 2014, the Department of Health issued an instant ban on the practice which health minister Dr Dan Poulter branded ‘totally unacceptable.’ [2] [5] [19] Dr Poulter also told reporters: “I have asked Professor Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS Medical Director, to write to all NHS hospital trusts. [6] At least 15,500 foetal remains were incinerated by 27 NHS trusts over the last two years alone, Channel 4’s Dispatches discovered. [3] [5] The programme, found that parents who lose children in early pregnancy were often treated without compassion and were not consulted about what they wanted to happen to the remains. This was all apparently done with the full knowledge of hospital administrators, government regulators and medical doctors. [3]
One of the country’s leading hospitals, Addenbrooke’s in Cambridge, incinerated 797 babies below 13 weeks gestation at their own ‘waste to energy’ plant. [2] The mothers were told the remains had been ‘cremated.’ Another ‘waste to energy’ facility at Ipswich Hospital, operated by a private contractor, incinerated 1,101 foetal remains between 2011 and 2013. They were brought in from another hospital before being burned, generating energy for the hospital site. Ipswich Hospital itself disposes of remains by cremation. “While the vast majority of hospitals are acting in the appropriate way, that must be the case for all hospitals and the Human Tissue Authority has now been asked to ensure that it acts on this issue without delay.” [2] “We will act on this immediately. We already advise hospitals that incineration may not be appropriate for fetal remains, and will now go further in light of the information we have been given, and make our standards for hospitals clearer,” Dr. Alan Clamp, Chief Executive of the Human Tissue Authority, said in a statement. [5]
Ipswich Hospital Trust said it was concerned to discover that foetal remains from another hospital had been incinerated on its site. A spokeswoman said: “The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust does not incinerate foetal remains.” [2] She added that the trust “takes great care over foetal remains” She also said that trained health professionals discuss the options with parents ‘both verbally and in writing.’ “The parents are given exactly the same choice on the disposal of foetal remains as for a stillborn child and their personal wishes are respected.” [2] It’s not just aborted babies that are combusted to generate heat, either. [3] A total of one in seven pregnancies ends in a miscarriage, while NHS figures show there are around 4,000 stillbirths each year in the UK, or 11 each day. [3] [4] In addition to babies, these “waste-to-energy” programs also incinerate other tissues, organs and even limbs removed during surgery. Anything removed from a patient during surgery or an abortion becomes fair game tissue that surgeons can toss into the “incineration” pile. From there, hospital workers feed the body parts into massive ovens. [3] If the image of bodies being incinerated in massive ovens seems familiar, that’s because the same atrocity took place during another dark era of human history: the Nazi-run Holocaust and attempted extermination of the Jews. In concentration camps like Auschwitz, human bodies were incinerated in massive ovens, just like it has long been done in UK hospitals. [3] Massive ovens have long been used to dispose of bodies after they were murdered. The “innovation” of modern medicine is to make the process of murder and incineration more “green” by turning dead bodies into heat so that the very doctors who perform these procedures can carry out their procedures in the comfort of a warm room. [3] Yes, burning aborted babies is a “green energy” practice, didn’t you know? Burning babies is clean energy, we are supposed to believe. The mental derangement necessary to justify such grotesque atrocities is beyond explanation. [3]
Sir Bruce Keogh, NHS Medical Director, has written to all NHS trusts to tell them the practice must stop. The Chief Medical Officer, Dame Sally Davies, has also written to the Human Tissue Authority to ask them make sure that guidance is clear. And the Care Quality Commission said it would investigate the programme’s findings. Prof Sir Mike Richards, Chief Inspector of Hospitals, said: “I am disappointed trusts may not be informing or consulting women and their families. “This breaches our standard on respecting and involving people who use services and I’m keen for Dispatches to share their evidence with us. We scrutinise information of concern and can inspect unannounced, if required.” [2] [19] The NHS Medical Director, has written to all NHS trusts to tell them to immediately halt the practice. [4] He has also written to the Human Tissue Authority to review its policies, the Telegraph reported. [2] [4] Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, said the practice of incinerating pre-24 week foetuses is unacceptable and that whenever possible, cremation should be used instead. [19] A spokesperson said: “Research has shown that the stage the pregnancy has reached when the baby dies is not an accurate predictor of the length and depth of the grief the parents will experience. […] The death of a baby at any stage of pregnancy is a major bereavement with life long consequences. ” [19]
What we are witnessing in today’s medical system is beyond sick. It is beyond derangement. It is a reflection of nothing less than pure, destructive evil and an intense desire to desecrate all life. [3] We deserve better. We deserve a medical system that holds life sacred and exercises compassion toward expectant mothers. We will only get such a system when we finally expose the true evil of conventional medicine and replace it with a system that serves life rather than destroying it. [3]
