As you already know, the world’s most pervasive biotech companies, Monsanto has committed so many crimes against the environment and humanity that it bogles the mind. It’s sordid legacy includes Vietnam’s Agent Orange, rBGH marketed as Posilac, mutant alfalfa, and farmer suicides in India. Now, no longer content to manipulate the global food supply with its GMO seeds and political pressure, Monsanto has now turned its all-seeing eye on your children.
Partnering together with Dow Agrosciences, Bayer and five other major biotech companies, Monsanto recently released a colorful “Biotechnology Basics Activity Book” for elementary school-aged children (see PDF here). Of course the first question any parent would ask is why would kids care about this topic? The truth is they don’t. But the propagandists at Monsanto don’t agree and think that we must push the information on them anyway. Why should primary school kids should care about Genetically Modified Organisms again?
Because biotechnology is helping to improve the health of the Earth and the people who call it home.
That’s right folks. It’s for the Earth! You’re not against the environment are you? The book is full of easy to digest facts and activities, including a fascinating word scramble that reveals some of Monsanto’s favorite terms like “soybean,” “microscope,” and “biotechnology.” Yes, your kids absolutely need this precious information. If all this bullshit didn’t manage to turn your stomach yet, this will: One section of the book is titled “How Can Biotechnology Help the Environment?” Yeah… that’s what they want your kid to believe that Monsanto and the other big agra compagnies are involved into saving the planet. “Many farmers plow their fields to destroy these weeds,” the book explains, “but plowing can cause soil erosion. Thanks to biotechnology, a farmer can manage the weed. What the book doesn’t say, is that it will also manage to get your kids tumors as big as a pineapples.
