Feminist Journalist Julie Bindel: ‘All Men Are Rapists and Should Be Put in Prison Then Shot’

Feminists can be such charming people! With all their talk of castrating God and killing babies in the womb, only a man drowning in the excess of his own misogyny would reject a date with someone as lovely as Julie Bindel of The Guardian, who believes “all men are rapists and should be put in prison.” But wait! Shortly after they’re put in prison, Miss Bindel thinks those rapist men “should be shot.”  I’m smitten, Julie. Do send me your number and we’ll share tea and crumpets in short order.   Miss Bindel’s latest statement in an already seasoned repertoire of feminist platitudes came as a result of social media trolls calling her an “ugly man-hating lesbian,” and since Bindel has not the fortitude to just dismiss such creeps, she instead used them as a springboard to dive into her progressive philosophy:

Bindel may very well write this off as an angry response prompted by mean-spirited Twitter trolls, but it stands directly in line with statements made by her in the past.  In an interview with RadFem Collective, she employed a more colorful word than prison when describing where all those “rapist” men should be put, something along the lines of “concentration camps.”  “I mean, I would actually put them all (men) in some kind of camp where they can all drive around in quad bikes, or bicycles, or white vans,” said Bindel. “I would give them a choice of vehicles to drive around with, give them no porn, they wouldn’t be able to fight – we would have wardens, of course! Women who want to see their sons or male loved ones would be able to go and visit, or take them out like a library book, and then bring them back.”

We did a bit of digging into Bindel and found this.  According to what appears to be her literary agent’s website, Bindel “has been active in the global campaign to end violence towards women and children since 1979 and has written extensively on rape, domestic violence, sexually motivated murder, prostitution and trafficking, child sexual exploitation, stalking, and the rise of religious fundamentalism and its harm to women and girls.”

She also tweeted this:

Bindel also stated she hopes “heterosexuality doesn’t survive.”

Earlier this month, she wrote a piece at the U.S. edition of the Guardian arguing that rape cases should not be heard by juries:

Almost a decade ago I wrote that rape might as well be legal. I feel the same way today. In 2013-14 in England and Wales, about 16,000 rapes were recorded by police, but only a third of these cases were sent to the Crown Prosecution Service. Approximately 15% of the recorded offences resulted in a charge. The actual attrition rate – meaning from reporting to conviction – is estimated at about 6%.

One potential solution to this worrying state of affairs is to do away with jurors in sex crime trials, and appoint a specially trained judge. I am wholly in favour of our jury system, but even more in favour of ensuring that rapists and other sex offenders do not walk free. New Zealand could be the first country to rid sex crime cases of jurors if one key recommendation from a recently published report by its Law Commission is implemented. The commissioners have suggested that there is a case for having sexual violence trials decided by a judge, either alone or with two expert “lay assessors”.

Clearly, she hates the idea of due process at least as much as she apparently hates men… [8]
